Nutty Bread

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups gram flour (this lentil flour gives the nutty flavour)
  • 2 cups mealie meal
  • 5 tsp Moirs Baking powder
  • 4 Tbsp melted butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 ½ cups milk
  • chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp Xanthan gum

Method:

  • Sift dry ingredients into a bowl
  • Add melted marge to milk and stir into flour mixture
  • Beat well for 1 minute
  • Bake in small foil loaf tin lined with baking paper.
  • Sprinkle top with chopped nuts
  • Bake at 180 C for 40 mins.
